Stress Management
Everyone feels stress sometimes in their life, especially when dealing with a difficult situation. Difficult situations can include relationship difficulties, family issues, becoming a parent, moving home, work issues or money worries etc.
I like to help people manage stress through teaching them about their nervous system (Polyvagal theory) and how it works and to help you understand that most of the time when you feel stressed its not your fault, because we all have tricky brains and we all have a nervous system that is programmed to keep us safe, however depending on our backgrounds our nervous system may be more sensitive than others leaving us more susceptible to feeling stressed.
How do I know if I’m stressed?
Feeling stress over a long period of time is not good and may cause you physical, mental or emotional exhaustion. This is known as burnout.
Stress can affect how you think, feel and behave, including:
· Feeling overwhelmed (feeling that everything is too much)
· Finding it hard to concentrate
· Being irritable · feelings of anxiety or feeling worried or scared all the time
· Being forgetful
· Lacking self-confidence · sleep problems or feeling tired all the time
· Avoiding certain places or people
· Eating less or more than usual (poor nutrition)
· Drinking alcohol or smoking more than usual

Stress management
Good news, once we become aware of stress there are many, many ways to help come back into alignment with yourself. I am passionate about helping people destress and become more aligned with their values which in turn helps them incorporate selfcare activities into their routine.
